Benji Gonzalez is a marketing and communications professional whose work brings together digital strategy, visual storytelling, and the performing arts. At RAA, he leads the organization’s brand, marketing, and public-facing communications, developing creative strategies that connect young musicians, and their communities, with RAA’s mission. In 2026, he led the organization’s comprehensive rebrand and public launch, introducing a new visual identity and design language while helping revitalize the organization’s public presence.
Born and raised in Buena Park, California, Gonzalez began working in digital media in 2017, managing social media and design for his high school music program. His career has since spanned education, entertainment, collegiate athletics, and the performing arts, with work for Pacific Crest, Gold Youth Arts, FloSports, Cal Poly Pomona Bands, and the Anaheim Union High School District. In 2025, Gonzalez was selected by the Boston Crusaders to design the logo commemorating the corps’ first Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championship during its 75th anniversary season.
Beyond the arts, Gonzalez has maintained a commitment to civic service in his hometown. In 2019, he became the youngest commissioner appointed in the history of the City of Buena Park, serving as a Cultural & Fine Arts Commissioner through 2023. He concurrently served on the Board of Directors of the Buena Park Cable Foundation from 2021 to 2022.
Gonzalez has also volunteered with the Green Band Association (GBA) since 2017, when he first supported Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School during its visit to Southern California. He has continued working with visiting Japanese student ensembles participating in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, supporting each group since his first involvement.
He holds an Associate degree in Film, Television and Electronic Media from Fullerton College and a B.A. in Communications, with a concentration in Entertainment & Tourism, from California State University, Fullerton. In 2026, he earned his M.S. in Digital Media Management from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
