Brisa Peña is a violinist, vocalist, and music educator originally from Tucson, Arizona, whose connection to mariachi began in elementary school. From an early age, mariachi became an important part of her musical journey, giving her opportunities to develop as a performer while building a lasting appreciation for the tradition, culture, and community surrounding the music.

Brisa was a proud member of the internationally recognized Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles for eight years. During her time with the ensemble, she continued to grow as both a violinist and vocalist while performing alongside accomplished musicians and artists. The experience strengthened her musicianship and deepened her love for mariachi and its ability to connect generations and communities through music.

In addition to performing, Brisa is passionate about music education and the impact a dedicated teacher can have on a young musician. She currently works with the Colton Joint Unified School District and brings her experience as both an educator and professional performer to her work with students.

She is excited to share her knowledge, experiences, and passion for mariachi with the next generation of musicians. Above all, she hopes her students leave with a lifelong appreciation for the artistry, history, and beautiful tradition of mariachi music.
