Benji GONZALEZ
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
Benjamin Gonzalez is a marketing and communications professional who builds digital strategies, crafts compelling narratives, and leads creative projects that bring brands and communities to life. With more than a decade of experience, he has worked across education, entertainment, non-profits, and professional organizations.
He seasonally serves as the Director of Marketing for the California All-State Music Education Conference (CASMEC), where he leads statewide marketing efforts for one of the nation’s largest music education conferences. Over the years, Benjamin has launched large-scale campaigns, guided rebrands, and managed multi-platform social media strategies that consistently drive engagement. He has shaped creative direction for numerous performing arts organizations and consulted on digital projects designed to reach diverse, passionate audiences.
His portfolio includes work with the 2025 Drum Corps International World Champion Boston Crusaders, Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps, Gold Youth Arts, Western Band Association (WBA), Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC), FloSports, Coastline Travel Group, Cal Poly Pomona Bands, and more.
Beyond the arts, he has dedicated part of his career to public service and civic leadership. In 2019, he made history as the youngest commissioner ever appointed in the City of Buena Park, serving as a Cultural & Fine Arts Commissioner until 2023. He additionally served on the Board of Directors for the Buena Park Cable Foundation from 2021 to 2022.
Benjamin holds an A.A. in Film, Television, and Electronic Media from Fullerton College and a B.A. in Communications (Entertainment & Tourism) from California State University, Fullerton. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Digital Media Management at the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism.
In his free time during the winter, he serves as a support staff member with the Green Band Association (GBA), assisting marching bands from Japan that travel to California to participate in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.
