Alexys sayegh
Choir
Alexys Sayegh is a singer, educator, and conductor from the Corona-Norco area. A graduate of Santiago High School (Class of 2020), she went on to earn a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from St. Olaf College in Minnesota.
Trained in classical voice, Alexys also enjoys performing in contemporary styles and was a member of a treble a cappella group during her time at St. Olaf. She has competed in numerous vocal competitions, including the Classical Singer Convention & Competition and the Minnesota NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) Competition 2022, where she advanced to the Semi-Finals in her category.
Her leadership experience includes managing adult choirs, serving on the student executive board of the St. Olaf Choir, and interning for the Northfield Youth Community Choirs. In the summer of 2023, Alexys expanded her performance experience abroad, spending a month in Urbino, Italy, where she studied voice and performed in various opera houses.
After completing her Bachelor’s degree and K–12 teaching licensure in May 2024, Alexys returned to her hometown to join the Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) as a VAPA teacher, working with 1st and 4th grade classes and directing choir at Lincoln Fundamental Elementary in Corona.
